Vicky Swales is a woven textile designer based in the Scottish Borders. Her philosophy is to weave luxury, beautifully finished, one off textiles to last a lifetime. Drawing inspiration from her love of old buildings, her surroundings and travels, she takes photographs of details in architecture. These are developed in sketchbooks using line drawings and then translated into intricate patterns for weaving. Her current collection is ongoing and focuses on beautifully textured, jewel toned fabric for scarves, throws and wall hangings. The products are entirely hand woven and hand finished by Vicky in Scotland.

Vicky trained in Textiles for Fashion, Interior and Art at Heriot Watt Scottish Borders Campus, specializing in weaving. She set up her design studio after graduating in 2013 with support from MAC Arts Galashiels, Business Gateway Borders, The Princes Trust and Scottish Borders Council.
